Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Solihull is recruiting a Test Development Engineer - Electronics for a full-time hybrid role. You will develop electronics test platforms, software and hardware for aerospace and military products, and coordinate with project leads to meet testing requirements.

The role covers requirements definition, integration testing, operator training and supplier liaison, with a focus on controlled development, fault analysis and documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent with knowledge of electronics test equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
• Experience with electronics hardware, instrumentation, and software development.

Responsibilities

• Development of the Electronics Test platforms and applications; design and develop software and hardware required for testing aerospace and military products.
• Review test requirements and define Electrical, Electronic and Software systems that meet current and future demands.
• Coordinate with Electronics Test management and Technical Project Leads to ensure planning, building and commissioning are supported and equipment is purchased per business needs.
• Fault finding of test systems at rig level and component level, and support in resolving issues to meet test requirements.
• Develop and document policies, procedures and technologies to ensure development of test platforms is controlled.
• Control of test system hardware design, internally and with external suppliers; development, integration testing and control of application test software.
