Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Test Systems Design Engineer to support testing equipment at the Solihull facility. The role involves hardware/software development for aerospace and military testing, from requirements through validation and training, within a hybrid Solihull environment.

You will work on test platforms, coordinate with management, and ensure equipment meets evolving business needs while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Qualifications

• Software programming skills including commissioning and validation.
• Degree level in Electronic Engineering or equivalent with knowledge of electronics test equipment.
• Strong electronics hardware engineering background, preferably in a test environment.
• Understanding analogue/digital interfacing circuitry and methodologies to interface unit under test to test equipment platforms.
• Team-oriented or independent worker with ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Review test requirements and define Electrical, Electronic and Software systems that meet current and future demands.
• Coordinate with Electronics Test management and customer to ensure planning, building, and commissioning are supported and equipment is purchased per requirements.
• Fault finding of test systems at rig and component levels and provide second-tier support to resolve diagnostic issues.
• Develop and document policies, procedures, and technologies to ensure controlled development of test platforms and applications.
