Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency in Poole is seeking an Assistant Production Manager with hands-on leadership in electronics manufacturing to drive daily production and lead a team of around 17 operatives. The role provides a clear path to a Production Manager position and ownership of output in a structured environment.

You will plan, schedule and monitor activities, read electrical drawings, and coordinate with procurement and production teams while keeping safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or supervising a team within electronics manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings involving electronic components.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands.

Responsibilities

• Planning, scheduling and monitoring daily production activity to hit delivery and quality targets
• Coordinating with procurement, stores and production teams to keep materials flowing and workflow smooth
• Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, reallocating resources to protect output
• Leading, motivating and developing a team of production operatives, setting clear expectations and giving regular feedback
• Promoting health and safety standards, running risk assessments and toolbox talks
• Reporting daily and weekly production updates to senior management, flagging progress, risks and resource needs
