Job summary

LDI Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead a team of production operatives in the manufacture of electronic assemblies, PCBs and sub-assemblies in a fast-paced Hampshire site.

You will ensure production targets are met safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across value streams with a people-focused, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

  • Experience in production/assembly environments, preferably electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience leading, supervising or coordinating teams.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate teams and collaborate across departments.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Organise and oversee daily operations to meet production, quality and delivery targets.
  • Allocate tasks effectively based on production schedules and team skills.
  • Ensure all team members follow work instructions, assembly procedures and quality requirements.
  • Act as first point of contact for resolving production issues and escalations.
  • Support training and development of team members through coaching and performance monitoring.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork and safety.
  • Communicate delays and quality concerns to stakeholders.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles.
  • Review and approve timesheets accurately and on time.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Production Managers to join a leading electronics manufacturing organisation based in Hampshire.

The successful candidates will play a key role in leading production teams, ensuring operational excellence and driving performance across their respective value streams.

The Role

As a Production Manager, you will lead a team of production operatives responsible for the manufacture of electronic assemblies, printed circuit boards (PCBs) and sub-assemblies within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organise and oversee daily operations to meet production, quality and delivery targets.
  • Allocate tasks effectively based on production schedules and individual skill sets.
  • Ensure all team members understand and follow work instructions, assembly procedures and quality requirements.

About You
  • Previous experience within a production or assembly environment, ideally within electronics manufacturing.
  • Proven experience leading, supervising or coordinating teams.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate across departments.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
