Job summary

Cattron in Slough is seeking an Electronics Technician to test, troubleshoot, repair and modify electronic components and equipment across our product lines.

You will travel to customer sites occasionally, but primarily work at our Berkshire facilities. Responsibilities include diagnosing malfunctions with test equipment and software, inspecting components, and maintaining detailed logs and records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent; 2–4 years related experience with products.
• Two to four years related experience with products and applications, or equivalent.
• Associates or better in a technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and software.
• Demonstrate proper use of equipment and analyze problems to diagnose issues.
• Inspect components for defects such as loose connections and frayed wires.
• Verify equipment compliance with product specifications; consult with customers and engineers.
• Examine work orders to detect problems and determine human or mechanical errors.
• Maintain equipment logs of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
• Study blueprints, schematics, manuals to determine issues.
• Adjust, calibrate, align and modify circuitry and records of performance.
• Check operation of newly installed equipment under actual conditions.
• Enter information into computer to copy programs or modify/store schematics.
