We are currently recruiting for an Electronics Test Technician to join our client based in Devizes.
Diagnose electronic and electromechanical assemblies to component level, often without complete circuit diagrams or technical documentation.
Carry out detailed repair of printed circuit boards and electronic assemblies, restoring units to full operational condition.
Confident use of soldering and rework equipment, working with both surface mount and through-hole technologies.
Read and interpret circuit diagrams where available. Where documentation is limited, analyse circuitry directly to determine function and fault.
Confident and competent in the use of standard electronic test equipment. Ability to work with additional or unfamiliar equipment as required.
Assist in the development or improvement of practical test methods and test equipment to support ongoing repair activities.
Manage multiple repair tasks efficiently, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes.
Conduct thorough testing of repaired units to ensure reliability and performance standards are met.
Maintain clear and accurate records of diagnostics, repair work carried out, and components used.
A relevant electronics qualification is advantageous but not essential. Proven practical experience in component-level fault finding and repair is more important than academic background.
