Job summary

Raytheon UK is seeking a Test Technician for the Customer Support Centre in Harlow. The role focuses on testing and diagnosing legacy and new electronic assemblies down to component level, using a range of special test equipment.

You will ensure high quality, on-time delivery of customer returns and support engineering investigations. The ideal candidate has ONC/BTEC in electronics or RF experience, strong lab skills, and the ability to work to production schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum ONC/BTEC5 in electronics or equivalent or RF experience.
• Experience testing and diagnosing complex analogue and digital assemblies including RF up to >1 GHz.
• Ability to set up lab equipment for manual production test and debugging.
• Understanding of electronics theory and circuit diagrams; interpret functionality.
• Ability to read test specifications and perform manual production tests to schedule.
• Ability to work to production schedules while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Test and diagnose new and legacy electronic assemblies down to component level.
• Perform functional testing to contractual, quality and schedule requirements.
• Diagnose test equipment faults and perform calibration plans.
• Record test results accurately and provide yield/failure reports.
• Assist engineering with investigations and improvement initiatives.
• Support continual improvement of efficiency in test areas.
