Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electronics Engineering Manager to lead the electronics design and prototyping department in Bedfordshire. This role requires strong leadership, design management experience and a track record in safety- and mission-critical development environments.

You will guide a team of electronic engineers, own hardware designs across multiple programmes, and work cross-functionally with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Test and Programme Management teams to ensure delivery against

Qualifications

• Extensive electronics hardware design experience across digital and mixed-signal systems.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects with many stakeholders.
• Wiring and PCB rework experience.
• Detailed understanding of electronics manufacturing processes.
• Process driven, able to implement processes for safety-critical development.

Responsibilities

• Guide and develop a delivery from a team of electronic engineers across programmes.
• Own and drive electronic hardware designs from requirements through production release.
• Lead detailed design activities for digital, mixed-signal, FPGA-based and high-reliability systems.
• Coordinate with Systems Engineering, Software, Mechanical, Test and Programme Management.
