Job summary

Saab UK invites a seasoned Electronics Engineering Manager to lead our electronics design and prototyping team (10+ engineers) in Bedfordshire. You will own hardware design across digital and mixed-signal systems, drive full design lifecycle, and ensure safety-critical governance in a multi-project environment.

You'll partner with Systems, Software, Mechanical, and Programme Management teams, support bids and planning, and mentor staff towards high-quality deliverables while maintaining schedule

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in electronics hardware design across digital and mixed-signal systems.
• Wiring and PCB rework experience.
• Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing multiple complex projects with many stakeholders.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide, manage, and develop a delivery from a team of electronic engineers across programmes.
• Own and drive electronic hardware designs through full lifecycle to production release.
• Lead detailed design activities for digital, mixed-signal, and FPGA-based systems.
• Oversee design assurance, verification, and configuration control.
• Collaborate across Systems, Software, Mechanical, Test, and Programme Management.
• Support bid development, cost estimation, design planning and reporting.
