KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions LTD is seeking an Electronics Technical Leader for a Norwich-based, hybrid role. The position focuses on leadership over hands-on design, guiding a small hardware team to deliver robust power electronics solutions for automotive and related sectors.

The role requires strong people leadership and the ability to translate technical progress for executives, with flexibility for remote work and occasional Norwich travel. Up to £80,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

Experience leading hardware/electronics engineering teams in SME or fast-growth setups.
Background in power electronics product development across inverters, DC-DC converters, motor controllers or chargers.
Strong people leadership with track record of developing engineering teams, including remote/distributed setups.
Able to implement pragmatic engineering processes suited to a growing SME without over-engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach and develop a hardware/electronics team of ~4–5 engineers plus a technician.
Own risk and issue management across hardware and electronics projects.
Implement SME-appropriate engineering processes rather than large-corporate overhead.
Translate technical progress for senior leadership and stakeholders.
