Job summary

KO2 Embedded Recruitment Solutions Ltd is actively recruiting an Electronic Design Engineer to join a small, agile hardware team in Newcastle. You will cover the entire hardware development lifecycle from concept through prototyping to production, influencing design decisions as the product range grows.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering.
• Solid experience of analogue and digital circuit design.
• Hands-on PCB design experience from schematic capture to production.
• Experience across the full development lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Flexible, hands-on approach that suits a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware for new automation products.
• Carry out schematic capture and PCB layout for mixed-signal, sensor and control designs.
• Build and test prototypes, then diagnose and fix any hardware issues.
• Work with firmware and mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated products.
• Design for manufacture in preparation for scaling up production.
• Support EMC and safety compliance and certification as products move into production.
