Job summary

Leonardo in Basildon, UK is offering an Industrial Placement Electronics Engineer role. You will support design, development and testing of electro-optical and communications systems within multidisciplinary teams. The placement runs for a year with a £26,228 salary and strong coaching.

You’ll spend at least three days on site, work with engineers from multiple disciplines, and have opportunities to progress to our Graduate Development Programme.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an electronics-biased degree with modules in digital design, analogue design and signal processing.
• Experience with PCB design and simulation tools is highly desirable.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of electro-optical, communications and information system products under supervision.
• Interface with customers (internal and external) and coordinate with Mechanical, Software, Systems and Design teams.
• Contribute to requirements capture, design, verification, and support to integration and qualification of electronics hardware.
• Develop experience in circuits, FPGA, subsystems and high-speed interfaces across product lifecycles.
