Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd invites an Industrial Placement Electronics Engineer to join its Southampton team for a year of hands‑on development across electro‑optical, communications, and information system products.

You will work under Electronics Engineering Leads, using state‑of‑the‑art methods to cover requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, and product support, interfacing with multiple discipline engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently studying electronics‑biased degree with modules on digital/analogue design and signal processing.
• Experience with PCB design and simulation tools is highly desirable.
• Interest in turning theory into practical engineering during placement.

Responsibilities

• Learn to become a professional Electronics Engineer within the product lifecycle.
• Work to project timescales and contribute as part of an engineering team.
• Engage in day‑to‑day engineering activities with guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and learn design integration.
