Job summary

Mission Zero Technologies in London is seeking an Electrochemical Stack Engineer to lead the next generation of DAC stack designs. You will define opportunity areas, develop concepts, and lead build-test-evaluate cycles from lab to scalable full-size stacks.

You'll work closely with process, mechanical and electrical engineers, mentor junior scientists, and coordinate with suppliers to navigate manufacturing constraints while pushing performance and robustness of our electrochemical DAC

Qualifications

• Required: degree in chemical/electrochemical engineering or related field; PhD preferred.
• 5–10 years of stack design, testing and scale-up experience.
• Experience leading testing campaigns and translating results to design changes.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Define opportunity areas for next-generation electrochemical stack development.
• Develop concepts for performance improvements in cell geometry, materials and flow design.
• Lead build-test-evaluate cycles and characterize stack performance.
• Scale successful concepts into full-scale stacks with fabrication and manufacturing considerations.
• Lead stack procurement and liaise with vendors and manufacturers.
• Communicate stack requirements across process, mechanical, electrical, and safety teams.
• Mentor junior scientists and engineers as the team expands.
