Essential is a chemical engineering degree and 5+ years in plant design, with experience in high-temperature processes and solid-handling. HQ in South Bermondsey, London, with relocation support and share options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years professional experience in plant design/build.
• Experience with solid-handling and high-temperature processes.

Responsibilities

• Ideate novel architectures for a solid phase, cyclic lime-based DAC process.
• Run bench-scale testing and analysis of calcination, hydration, carbonation.
• Own design and optimisation of unit operations across the CaCO3 ↔ CaO ↔ Ca(OH)2 ↔ CaCO3 loop.
• Integrate the DAC module with methanation and electrolysis units.
• Design safe, high-temperature, steam-rich solids-handling systems.
• Procurement of equipment and oversee assembly, integration, testing and commissioning.
