Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join the Repairs Team in the Fareham region. You will inspect, fault-find, repair and refurbish electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs returned from service, developing expertise from component level to final testing.

The role emphasizes structured fault-finding, root cause analysis and adherence to quality and delivery requirements while supporting lean improvements and training colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience in electro-mechanical repair and PCB refurbishment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Familiarity with test equipment and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Perform structured fault-finding and root cause analysis.
• Carry out soldering and assembly tasks to quality standards.
• Work on complex assemblies and assist with testing and sign-off.
• Maintain repair records and support continuous improvement activities.
