Job summary

Saab UK is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Repairs Team. You will inspect, fault-find, repair and rebuild electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs while gaining knowledge of Saab Seaeye’s ROV range.

You will perform structured fault-finding, root cause analysis and testing to ensure quality and timely delivery, with opportunities to contribute to lean improvements and training.

Qualifications

• Inspection, fault-finding and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Structured fault-finding and root cause analysis using drawings, schematics and test gear.
• Soldering and assembly work to required quality standards.
• Opportunities to learn Saab Seaeye ROV product ranges and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Perform structured fault-finding and root cause analysis with documentation.
• Carry out soldering, electrical loom wiring and other assembly tasks.
• Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and testing.
• Complete repair and refurbishment to quality and delivery targets.
• Identify recurring faults and suggest improvements to the team lead.
• Maintain repair records and system data for traceability.
• Support 6S, lean activities and cross-functional collaboration.
• Use judgement to resolve technical challenges and assist training.
