Job summary

Saab UK, Fareham, is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs returned from service. You will use fault-finding techniques, work with drawings and test equipment, and perform soldering and assembly to required quality standards.

The role involves complex assemblies, training others, and contributing to continuous improvement within the Repairs Team as part of Saab UK’s defence technology portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in electro-mechanical repair and refurbishment.
• Ability to diagnose faults using drawings and schematics.
• Practical soldering and assembly skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs.
• Carry out structured fault-finding and root cause analysis.
• Perform soldering and assembly to quality standards.
• Support testing, verification and documentation of repairs.
• Assist Lean and 6S improvements within the team.
