Job summary

Saab UK is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician for the Fareham site to join the Repairs Team. You will inspect, fault-find, repair and rebuild electro-mechanical assemblies and PCBs returned from service, developing a strong understanding of product performance and applying structured fault-finding techniques.

You will work across assemblies from component level to final testing and sign-off, contributing to lean activities and knowledge transfer to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, repair and re-build electro-mechanical assemblies, PCBs and associated components.
• Carry out structured fault-finding and root cause analysis using drawings and schematics.
• Carry out soldering, electrical looming and other assembly activities to required quality standards.
• Work on complex electro-mechanical and hydraulic assemblies and assist with pressure, leak and soak testing.
• Complete repair and refurbishment activities accurately and efficiently, meeting quality and delivery requirements.
• Identify recurring faults and improvement opportunities, providing feedback to the Repairs Team Lead.
