Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd in Peterborough is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead the development of electrified machine demonstrators and prototypes. This 12-month contract role focuses on transitioning from concept to system integration across HV and LV architectures, working with controls, software, and mechanical teams.

You will define requirements, select components, create validation plans, and perform hands-on testing on prototype hardware.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing and integrating electrical systems in automotive, off-highway, industrial, aerospace, or rail sectors.
• Hands-on LV/HV experience (60V to 1500V+).
• CAN-based diagnostics experience and fault-finding capability.
• Knowledge of validation processes, standards, and compliance for electrified systems.
• System-level thinking with collaborative, team-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Define electrical system requirements and technical specifications.
• Lead electrical architecture development and system integration.
• Select components and evaluate subsystems.
• Create validation plans, test procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct hands-on validation of HV/LV architectures on prototype hardware.
• Troubleshoot, commission, and debug electrical systems.
• Resolve integration issues during machine build.
• Document decisions, test results, and engineering recommendations.
