Job summary

Randstad Construction and Property seeks a hands-on Electrical Systems Engineer to join a fast-paced development team in Peterborough. You will work on electrified machine demonstrators and prototypes within a 12-month contract, coordinating cross-functional collaboration with controls, software and mechanical teams.

Qualifications

Experience in developing and integrating electrical systems across automotive/off-highway/industrial sectors.
Hands-on experience with LV and HV electrical systems (60V to 1500V+).
Expertise in commissioning, fault finding and root-cause analysis using CAN-based tools.

Responsibilities

Define comprehensive electrical system requirements and specifications.
Lead electrical architecture development and ensure high-quality integration.
Select electrical components and evaluate subsystems.
Create validation plans, test procedures and acceptance criteria.
Conduct hands-on validation of HV and LV architectures.
Troubleshoot, commission and debug electrical systems.
Resolve integration issues during machine build phase.
Document decisions, test outcomes and recommendations.
