Bromford is recruiting an Electrician for a fixed-term 12-month role focused on quality electrical maintenance, repairs and installations across housing properties. The position offers a comprehensive package and structured workload.

The role requires 18th Edition wiring regs, City & Guilds Test & Inspection certificate, NVQ3 or equivalent, and a valid driving licence. On-call duties are included with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have 18th Edition wiring regs or equivalent time served.
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate required.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification.
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and installations across domestic and commercial properties.
• Maintain and fault‑find on electrical and mechanical systems, including boilers and HVAC.
• Complete rewiring, testing and inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Diagnose issues quickly and deliver high‑quality, efficient repairs.
• Manage materials, record work accurately, and work safely per regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure homes are safe and fit for purpose.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), repairs, and installations across domestic and commercial properties
• Maintaining and fault‑finding on electrical and mechanical systems, including boiler controls, pumps, communal lighting, hot water systems, and HVAC units
• Completing rewiring, testing, and inspections to ensure systems are safe and compliant
• Diagnosing issues quickly and delivering high‑quality, efficient repairs
• Managing materials, recording work accurately, and working safely in line with regulations
• Providing excellent customer service and ensuring homes are safe and fit for purpose

What We’re Looking For

• Experience with 18th Edition wiring regulations or equivalent time served
• City & Guilds Electrical Test and Inspection Certificate
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent electrical qualification
• AM2 qualification preferred but not essential
• Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices
• Proficiency with IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Commitment to Bromford’s values and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation
• Full, clean driving licence
• Proactive, flexible attitude to work and travel
• Basic DBS check (arranged by BFL)
