Job summary

Hydro International, a CRH Company, is seeking an experienced Electrician based in Portland, Dorset to join the UK Wastewater Services team. This hands-on role covers installation, commissioning and testing of water filtration systems on sewage sites, with travel across the UK and occasional workshop support.

You will work at heights and in confined spaces, following technical instructions and safety best practices.

Qualifications

• Youll need a valid UK driving licence.
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installations, 18th Edition, JIB Gold Card, City & Guilds 2391 are required.
• A safety-first mindset and good communication are essential.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites.
• Carry out site inspections, fault finding and produce survey reports for quotations.
• Interpret technical instructions using mobile electronic equipment.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and in all weather conditions.
• Travel across the UK with regular overnight stays; support engineering workshops as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other engineers and trades within the business.

This role sits within our UK Wastewater Services (UKWWS) team, supporting water utility companies across the UK.

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced, qualified Electrician to join our team based in Portland, Dorset. This is a hands-on, varied field role with real scope for progression.

You will:
