Job summary

Hydro International Limited, part of CRH, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our Heathfield, East Sussex branch. This hands-on field role offers diverse, long-term development opportunities and the chance to contribute to UK wastewater infrastructure.

You will install, commission and test water filtration systems on sewage sites, conduct site inspections, diagnose faults, and prepare quotations. Regular travel away from home is required.

Responsibilities

About the Job

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our branch in Heathfield, East Sussex. This is a hands-on field role with excellent variety and long-term development opportunities.

In this job, you will:

• Install, commission, set up and test water filtration systems on sewage treatment sites
• Carry out site inspections, diagnose faults and prepare survey reports for quotations
• Use mobile electronic equipment to access and interpret technical information
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and outdoors in all weather conditions
• Work away from home regularly, including overnight stays
• Occasionally support workshop activities at other UK locations
• Collaborate with other engineers and trades across the business

About You

To be successful, youll need:

• A current valid UK driving licence
• City & Guilds mechanical engineering qualification
• Completion of a recognised mechanical apprenticeship
