Job summary

Aspion Search is recruiting an Electrician to join a leading UK manufacturer. You will assemble, wire, test and commission electro-mechanical hoists and electrical control panels.

The role requires industrial experience, 3‑phase knowledge and the ability to read schematics. A four‑day week is offered with overtime, benefits, and training on specialist equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, ideally gained through an Apprenticeship.
• Industrial/heavy manufacturing experience as Electrician.
• Experience building and wiring electrical control panels.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of 3 phase electrical systems, motors and drives.
• Familiar with frequency inverters and PLC systems.
• Proficient with IT systems to access technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, wire, test and commission electro-mechanical wire rope hoists and associated electrical panels.
• Build, wire and test electrical control panels to engineering specifications.
• Assemble and connect electro-mechanical components, completing functional testing.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out daily health and safety inspections on designated equipment, including overhead cranes.
• Ensure tools, test equipment and measuring devices remain in good condition and within calibration requirements.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety and housekeeping.

This is an opportunity to join a well established business, working on the assembly, wiring, testing and commissioning of electro-mechanical wire rope hoists and electrical control panels.
