Job summary

Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited, a subsidiary of Sanctuary Housing Association, is seeking an Electrician in London to perform EICR inspections and remedial work in occupied properties. You will handle certification and paperwork, manage stock, and work with company vehicles and tools provided.

40 hours per week with competitive benefits. The role requires 18th Edition (3rd/4th), NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52/AM2, and a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Must hold 18th Edition (3rd & 4th amendment) and be able to show original certificates.
• NVQ Level 3 in core electrics and City & Guilds 2391-52 (or working towards) are required.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence for company vehicle use.
• Demonstrable knowledge of health and safety legislation and safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Inspecting and testing properties to complete remedials and ensure safety and compliance.
• Complete all paperwork and certification associated with works undertaken.
• Monitor van stock and keep tools and equipment in good condition.

We have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our team in London. The role will involve a variety of lone and teamwork with varied responsibilities. You will primarily be responsible for inspection and testing in occupied properties and producing Electrical Condition Reports, as well as remedial works. You will be provided with a company van and power tools, training will be provided, as and when required.

The role of EICR Electrician will include:

• Inspecting and testing of properties and completing any remedials required, ensuring safety and compliance
• Completing all paperwork and producing certification associated with works undertaken
• Monitoring and maintaining good levels of van stock and ensuring tools and equipment are kept in a suitable condition

Skills and experiences

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to 18th Edition - 3rd and 4th amendment, NVQ Level 3 in core electrics, City & Guilds 2391-52 and AM2. Or currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation. Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach.
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
