Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Sheffield is seeking an Electrician to join the team, covering South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. The role offers a mix of independent and team work, with a company van and power tools provided. 40 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with salary between £41,192 and £43,360 per year.

Responsibilities include emergency response, property testing and remedial work, associated paperwork and certification, and maintaining van stock and tools. Training available to support development.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3, inspection and testing 2391 or equivalent, BS5839-6, BS5839-1, BS 7671 - 18th Edition or currently undertaking the qualification.
  • Must bring original certifications to interview.
  • Full UK driving licence required for company vehicle use.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emergency situations promptly.
  • Inspect and test properties for safety and compliance; carry out remedial work as needed.
  • Complete paperwork and issue certification for works carried out.
  • Monitor van stock and keep tools/equipment in good condition.

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday

We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team, working across the South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire areas. This role offers a mix of working independently and as part of a team, with a wide range of responsibilities. You will primarily be responsible for carrying out remedial and inspection works on occupied properties, as well as attending emergency breakdowns and service interruptions. A company van and power tools will be provided, and training will be offered as needed to support your development.

The role of Electricianwill include:
  • Responding promptly to emergency situations
  • Inspecting and testing properties to ensure safety and compliance, and completing any necessary remedial work
  • Completing all associated paperwork and producing certification for the works carried out
  • Monitoring and maintaining appropriate levels of van stock, while ensuring all tools and equipment are kept in good working condition
Skills and experiences:
  • To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified toNVQ Level 3, inspection and testing 2391 or equivalent, BS5839-6, BS5839-1, BS 7671 - 18th Editionor currently undertaking the qualification. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
  • Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
  • Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills along with a customer focused approach
  • This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
