Job summary

Nicholas Associates is seeking an Electrician to service Essex and surrounding areas. The role covers planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial sites, including lighting, distribution boards, alarms, pumps, HVAC and EV systems. A full UK driving licence is essential and hours are Mon–Fri, 37.5 per week.

The package includes a basic salary of £38,000 with overtime paid at time and a half, with a realistic target around £45,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
• Experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation.
• Ability to maintain and repair electrical systems to standards with minimal supervision.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors.
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance and Reactive Repairs.
• Work on Lighting systems, Distribution Boards, Fire & Intruder Alarm systems, Pumps, Motors and Building Management Systems.
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in line with specs and regulations.
• Respond to reactive call requests and provide On-call service as part of a rota.

Sector: Commercial Premises - no industrial / manufacturing

Hours: Days Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Salary: Basic £38,000. Overtime paid time and a half for excess hours. Realistic £45,000

Location: Essex based but also covering surrounding areas.

The Role

Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors

Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Repairs and Installation works across various asset types such as but not limited to:

• Lighting systems


• Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits


• Fire & Intruder Alarm systems


• Pumps, Motors and associated Control systems


• Building Management Systems


• PAT Testing


• HVAC systems


• EV systems

Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment & systems

Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation

Responding promptly and positively to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk Team

Provide On-call Service as part of a call-out rota

Compilation of quotes for installation & repairs works; specifically outlining the quantities of materials and labour times required

Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Contract Manager of findings and recommendations

Carry out tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)*

About You

• NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing


• Previous experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation


• Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical systems to recognised standards whilst working with minimum supervision


• Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment


• Full Diving License
