Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to cover sites around Essex and surrounding areas. The role is a 37.5-hour week with a basic salary of £38,000 and overtime paid at time and a half with a realistic target of £45,000.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3, AM2 and City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing, with previous electrical maintenance and installation experience and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Repairs and Installation works across asset types including Lighting systems, Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits, Fire & Intruder Alarm systems, Pumps, Motors and control systems, Building Management Systems, PAT Testing, HVAC, EV systems
• Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment & systems
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation
• Respond to reactive call requests from Helpdesk and provide On-call service as part of rota
• Compile quotes for installation & repairs, outlining materials and labour times
• Identify non-repairable issues and advise Contract Manager
• Carry out tasks in line with SLA's

Sector : Commercial Premises - no industrial / manufacturing

Hours : Days Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Salary : Basic £38,000. Overtime paid time and a half for excess hours. Realistic £45,000

Location : Essex based but also covering surrounding areas.

Full UK driving licence essential

The Role

• Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Repairs and Installation works across various asset types such as but not limited to:-

• Lighting systems
• Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits
• Fire & Intruder Alarm systems
• Pumps, Motors and associated Control systems
• Building Management Systems
• PAT Testing
• HVAC systems
• EV systems

• Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment & systems
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation
• Responding promptly and positively to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk Team
• Provide On-call Service as part of a call-out rota
• Compilation of quotes for installation & repairs works; specifically outlining the quantities of materials and labour times required
• Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Contract Manager of findings and recommendations
• Carry out tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)

About You

NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
Previous experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation
Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical systems to recognised standards whilst working with minimum supervision
Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
Full Diving License
Customer focused
Good problem-solving skills
