Job summary

Nicholas Associates is hiring an Electrician to provide planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites in York and surrounding areas. The role includes working days, 37.5 hours per week, with a basic salary around £38,000 and overtime paid at time and a half, with a realistic achievable earnings around £45,000.

The ideal candidate will hold NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Testing, have electrical maintenance experience, a full UK driving licence, and strong

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites
• Lighting systems, E.D.B.s and associated circuits
• Fire & Intruder Alarm systems, Pumps, Motors and control systems
• Building Management Systems and PAT testing
• Respond toHelpdesk requests and provide on-call service
• Prepare quotes outlining materials and labour times
• Identify non-repairable issues and advise Contract Manager
• Operate in accordance with SLAs

Position : Electrician

Sector : Commercial Premises - no industrial / manufacturing

Hours : Days Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Salary : Basic £38,000. Overtime paid time and a half for excess hours. Realistic £45,000

Location : York, covering York & surrounding areas

Full UK driving licence essential

The Role

Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors

• Lighting systems
• Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits
• Fire & Intruder Alarm systems
• Pumps, Motors and associated Control systems
• Building Management Systems
• PAT Testing
• HVAC systems
• EV systems

• Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment & systems
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation
• Responding promptly and positively to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk Team
• Provide On-call Service as part of a call-out rota
• Compilation of quotes for installation & repairs works; specifically outlining the quantities of materials and labour times required
• Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Contract Manager of findings and recommendations
• Carry out tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)*

• NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing
• Previous experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation
• Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical systems to recognised standards whilst working with minimum supervision
• Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
• Full Diving License
• Customer focused
• Good problem-solving skills
