Job summary

Nicholas Associates is recruiting an Electrician to service commercial premises around Norwich and surrounding areas. The role involves days, 37.5 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities and a driving licence is essential.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, installations and testing on diverse electrical systems, including lighting, distribution boards, alarms and HVAC. A basic salary and overtime potential are indicated in the posting.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, AM2, and City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing are required.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and installation.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and repair a range of electrical systems.
• Full Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
• Carry out electrical installation works and testing per specifications.
• Manage fault finding, repairs and servicing of electrical systems including lighting, distribution boards and control systems.
• Support fire & intruder alarm systems, HVAC, pumps and EV systems as needed.
• Prepare quotes for installation and repairs with material and labour estimates.
• Respond to helpdesk calls promptly and provide on-call support as part of a rota.

Basic £38,000. Overtime paid time and a half for excess hours. Realistic £45,000

The Role

• Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Repairs and Installation works across various asset types such as but not limited to:-Lighting systems
• Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits
• Fire & Intruder Alarm systems
• Pumps, Motors and associated Control systems
• Building Management Systems
• PAT Testing
• HVAC systems
• EV systems
• Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment & systems
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation
• Responding promptly and positively to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk Team
• Provide On-call Service as part of a call-out rota
• Compilation of quotes for installation & repairs works; specifically outlining the quantities of materials and labour times required
• Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Contract Manager of findings and recommendations
• Carry out tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)*

• Previous experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation
• Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical systems to recognised standards whilst working with minimum supervision
• Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment
• Full Diving License
