Job summary

Nicholas Associates Group, York, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to provide planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites in the York area. It includes lighting, distribution boards, fire/intruder systems, pumps and BMS, PAT testing, HVAC and EV systems.

NVQ Level 3, AM2 and City & Guilds 2391 are required; a full driving licence is essential. Hours are Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours, with overtime and an on-call rota.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, AM2, City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing.
• Previous experience in Electrical Maintenance & Installation.
• Ability to maintain and repair a range of electrical systems to recognised standards whilst working with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and reactive electrical maintenance across multiple sites.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and installation works across various asset types.
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation.
• Respond promptly to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk Team.
• Provide On-call Service as part of a call-out rota.
• Compile quotes for installation & repairs works, detailing materials and labour times.
• Identify non-repairable issues and advise the Contract Manager of findings and recommendations.
• Carry out tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

Sector : Commercial Premises - no industrial / manufacturing

Hours : Days Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

Salary : Basic £38,000. Overtime paid time and a half for excess hours. Realistic £45,000

Location : York, covering York & surrounding areas

Full UK driving licence essential

The Role

• Provide Planned and Reactive Electrical Maintenance across multiple sites & sectors
• Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance, Reactive Repairs and Installation works across various asset types such as but not limited to:-

Lighting systems
Electrical Distribution Boards & Associated Circuits
Fire & Intruder Alarm systems
Pumps, Motors and associated Control systems
Building Management Systems
PAT Testing
HVAC systems
EV systems

• Fault finding and repairs on electrical equipment & systems
• Carry out alterations, installations and electrical testing in accordance with specification and legislation
• Responding promptly and positively to reactive call requests from the Helpdesk Team
• Provide On-call Service as part of a call-out rota
• Compilation of quotes for installation & repairs works; specifically outlining the quantities of materials and labour times required
• Identify non-repairable issues and promptly advise the Contract Manager of findings and recommendations
• Carry out tasks in accordance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA's)
