Job summary

Serco Limited in Leicester is seeking an Electrician Grade 1 to maintain safe, compliant electrical systems within a secure environment at HMP Fosse Way. You will fault-find, deliver planned maintenance, install and commission new plant, and interpret wiring diagrams to keep critical services running.

The role requires City and Guilds qualification, an electrical apprenticeship, BS7671 compliance, and at least five years post-apprenticeship experience.

• Completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship.
• Qualified to BS7671 (current IEE regulations).
• At least five years' relevant post-apprenticeship experience.

As an Electrician Grade 1 in our Justice and Immigration Facilities Management team, you'll play a vital role in maintaining safe, compliant, and fully operational electrical systems within a secure environment. What you'll do as an Electrician Grade 1

You’ll be entrusted to:

An Enhanced Level 1 check is required for this role. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and any relevant information held by local police, in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and safeguarding requirements. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to allow us to provide any support needed for you to succeed in the role.
