Job summary

Equans is recruiting an Electrician to join our team at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh Hospital on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for electrical maintenance across building services as part of a flexible M&E team.

You must have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship with proven hands-on experience in hospital maintenance, fault diagnosis, and reactive tasks; first aid training is preferred. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have proven experience in electrical maintenance duties.
  • Hospital maintenance experience is desirable.
  • Be competent with building service systems and equipment.
  • Have training in first aid (or training will be provided).
  • Knowledge of SHTMs and permit-to-work is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical maintenance of building services and plant.
  • Work from the PPM schedule or reactive orders.
  • Diagnose faults and source parts as needed.
  • Manage backlog works and assist specialist projects as required.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week.
