Job summary

Invictus Recruitment is seeking an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team in the Bristol area. You will perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial site, ensuring safety, compliance and efficient operation of electrical systems.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, completing installations and minor works, testing systems, and maintaining records, with a focus on safety and teamwork within the engineering/Facilities Management

Qualifications

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• AM2 and JIB Gold card.
• Experience in Facilities Management, Building Services or commercial environments.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of health and safety and electrical compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across building services systems.
• Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works.
• Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated electrical equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial site, ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a range of building services systems.
• Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works.
• Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated electrical equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical isolation and safe working procedures.
• Assist with general building services and basic mechanical/fabric maintenance where required.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and site management when required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety requirements.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality maintenance service across the site.

Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• AM2 and JIB Gold card
• Previous experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of health and safety and electrical compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• Full UK driving licence desirable depending on the site.
