Job summary

Invictus Recruitment seeks an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team in Bristol. The role covers planned and reactive electrical maintenance on a commercial site, ensuring systems are safe, compliant and operating efficiently.

The ideal candidate will hold City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent), AM2 and a JIB Gold card, with proven FM/building services experience and strong fault-finding skills. A full UK driving license is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within FM or building services.
• PPM and reactive maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial site.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across building services systems.
• Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works.
• Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain maintenance records and documentation.
• Work with the wider engineering and facilities management team.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join a leading Facilities Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a commercial site, ensuring all electrical systems and equipment are maintained safely, efficiently and in line with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a range of building services systems.
• Complete electrical installation, repairs, replacements and minor works.
• Carry out testing and inspection of electrical systems where qualified to do so.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution and associated electrical equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests within agreed timescales.
• Complete electrical isolation and safe working procedures.
• Assist with general building services and basic mechanical/fabric maintenance where required.
• Complete maintenance records, job sheets and compliance documentation.
• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and site management when required.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety requirements.
• Support the delivery of a high-quality maintenance service across the site.

Requirements

• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or equivalent.
• AM2 and JIB Gold card
• Previous experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services or a commercial environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical maintenance and fault finding.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance.
• Good understanding of health and safety and electrical compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider engineering team.
• Full UK driving licence desirable depending on the site.
