Job summary

Facilitate Search Ltd seeks an experienced Electrician to join the maintenance team at a large healthcare site in Birmingham. You will carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair across the site, keeping systems safe, compliant and operational.

The role requires an Electrical Apprenticeship, 18th Edition, AM2, and prior maintenance/installation experience. A healthcare environment background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship completed and qualified.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety and compliance.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and/or installations.
• Ability to work professionally within a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair across the site.
• Inspect and test emergency lighting, PAT, RCD and fuse boards.
• Fault finding and repairing electrical faults to ensure safety and compliance.
• Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on electrical systems.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join the maintenance team at a large healthcare site in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking for a stable, long-term position within a professional healthcare environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of electrical installation, maintenance and repair works across the site, ensuring all systems and assets remain safe, compliant and operational.

Your duties will include:

• General electrical installations and repairs


• Repairing and replacing sockets, switches and lamps


• Retrofitting electrical components


• Rewiring assets and equipment


• Emergency lighting maintenance and testing


• Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)


• Fuse board inspections and checks


• PAT testing


• RCD testing


• Electrical fault finding and repairs


• General electrical maintenance across the healthcare site


• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations

Requirements

• A recognised Electrical Apprenticeship


• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations


• AM2


• Previous experience in electrical maintenance and/or installations


• Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills


• A strong understanding of electrical safety and compliance


• The ability to work professionally within a healthcare environment
