Job summary

phs Compliance is recruiting a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer for the Glasgow area. You will inspect and test electrical installations (EICRs), including emergency lighting and fire alarm tests, with reports submitted via our cloud-based certification software.

Salary starts at £41,170 with average earnings around £56,322 through bonus and overtime. Benefits include an uncapped bonus, company vehicle (private use), fuel card, 31 days holiday, pension, laptop and testing equipment, and wellbeing

Qualifications

• SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395 qualifications.
• AM2 qualification.
• Experience in electrical testing environment.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, including evenings/shifts.
• Full UK Driving Licence (6 points or less).
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
• Good IT literacy.
• Experience with electrical installation/project work.
• Understanding of UK Health and Safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspecting & testing on customer electrical installations (EICRs).
• Include Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis, Thermal Imaging.
• Complete reports and certification in cloud-based software and ensure timely submission.

The ideal candidate for a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer at phs will have:

• SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification OR equivalent Level 3 NQV.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
• City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395.
• AM2
• Experience working in an electrical testing environment.
• The flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including evening / twilight shifts to support our customers’ requirements.
• A full UK Driving Licence, with 6 points or less.
• IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
• A good level of IT literacy.
• Experience with Electrical installation/project work
• An understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace

Your role as a Fixed Wire Testing Engineer:

• Carrying out Inspecting & Testing on customer’s electrical installations (EICR’s) including Emergency Lighting Testing, Fire Alarm Inspections, Mains Analysis, Thermal Imaging, and small remedial repairs as required.
• Completing all relevant reports and certification associated with your inspection & testing our cloud-based certification software.
• Ensuring all reports and certification are completed and summited on time.
