Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria is seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our state-of-the-art coffee production facility. The role focuses on maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement across automated lines and packaging equipment.

You will work with a skilled team, report to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager, and help drive Lean/TPM initiatives while maintaining safety and product quality at the heart of operations.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: HNC or NVQ Level 3 in engineering or equivalent.
• Engineering time-served apprenticeship or similar hands-on training.
• Experience with modern manufacturing techniques and PLC controlled equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support maintenance and compliance tasks to keep the factory running smoothly.
• Drive improvements in machinery performance and asset reliability.
• Assist with cost control, safety, and quality for production lines.
• Engage with shift team and cross-functional stakeholders to implement TPM/LEAN initiatives.
