Job summary

Hunter Selection in Stevenage is seeking an electrically biased Shift Engineer for a leading food manufacturer. The role covers maintenance on high-speed production and packaging lines, with PLC/SCADA/HMI systems and strong fault-finding skills.

12‑hour shifts rotate: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off, offering a competitive salary and good pension benefits. The candidate should have multi-skilling in electrical and mechanical domains, NVQ3 (or equivalent) and ideally an HNC/HND, with FMCG experience to

Qualifications

• Multi skilled engineer - ideally electrically biased.
• NVQ Level 3 engineering or maintenance minimum.
• Ideally HNC / HND qualified.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all high-speed production & packaging machinery.
• Working on control panels, HMi's, PLC's, SCADA Systems
• Electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving and repairs
• Continuous improvement projects
• Dealing with motors, VSD's, servo drives, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, shafts, inverters
• Mechanical fabrication, fitting, welding
