Job summary

Wates Property Services are seeking an Electrically Biased Shift Engineer to join our Facilities Management team at the Mercedes-Benz World in Weybridge. You will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across building services to ensure safe, compliant operations.

The role requires Level 3 electrical qualification, 18th Edition BS7671, strong fault‑finding skills and the ability to work well in a live, high‑profile environment with a focus on customer service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification and experience in facilities management or building services.
• Proven skills in fault diagnosis and fault rectification on electrical systems.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance with focus on electrical systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
• Ensure tasks comply with electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Monitor building plant to maximise operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate records using CAFM systems.
• Support wider engineering team during shifts and maintenance.
• Communicate professionally with client representatives and contractors.
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency and reliability improvements.
