As an Electrically Biased Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs across a wide range of electrical and building services systems. You will play a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant and efficient environment while delivering exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities with a primary focus on electrical systems and associated building services plant.
• Diagnose electrical faults and undertake repairs efficiently and effectively.
• Ensure all maintenance tasks are completed in line with statutory compliance, electrical regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Monitor building systems and plant performance to maximise operational efficiency.
• Complete accurate records and documentation using CAFM systems.
• Support the wider engineering team during shifts and planned maintenance activities.
• Liaise professionally with client representatives, contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, energy efficiency and asset reliability.

About You

• Proven experience within a facilities management, building services or maintenance environment.
• Level 3 Electrical qualification (or equivalent) – essential.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) – essential.
• Experience working on commercial electrical systems within a live environment.
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on commercial building services systems.
• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance legislation.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a shift team.
• A flexible and proactive approach to work.

Desirable

• Experience working within a prestigious or customer-facing FM environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical plant and building services systems.
• Experience using CAFM systems.
