Job summary

Protocol is seeking an experienced Head of Electrical Training in Wolverhampton to lead the Electrical department and a team of tutors and assessors. You will shape curriculum, ensure high learner outcomes and maintain strong employer engagement.

The role requires industry background in Electrical Installation, leadership experience in education and a track record of quality improvement in training environments. This is a full-time, permanent position based on-site in Wolverhampton.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management capabilities to lead an Electrical department.
• Proven teaching and learning expertise across Electrical programmes.
• Experience in staff development and performance management.
• Stakeholder engagement with employers and industry partners.
• Commitment to health, safety and quality assurance in training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical department and team of Tutors, Trainers and Assessors.
• Drive learner achievement, retention and progression targets.
• Oversee teaching quality and curriculum development across programmes.
• Build relationships with employers and external partners to support growth.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, awarding body requirements and inspections.

Education

NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

Teaching Qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, AET or equivalent)

Assessor Qualification (TAQA, A1, CAVA or equivalent)

Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) qualification
