Job summary

Skillmatch Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Testing Engineer to join a leading facilities management contractor in the UK. You will deliver both planned and reactive FM maintenance, focusing on electrical testing including EICR inspections and Fixed Wire testing.

The successful candidate will hold Level 3 NVQ Diploma, 18th Edition BS 7671, City & Guilds 2391‑52, and have proven EICR delivery experience with strong reporting and compliance, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
18th Edition BS 7671 qualification.
City & Guilds 2391‑52 (Inspection & Testing) or equivalent.
Proven experience delivering EICRs and fixed wire testing.
Strong knowledge of electrical regulations and safety standards.
Ability to produce clear, accurate, professional reports.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Carry out EICR inspections on commercial and industrial installations.
Perform Fixed Wire (Periodic) Inspection & Testing in accordance with BS 7671.
Identify faults, deviations, and non‑compliances within electrical systems.
Code observations using C1, C2, C3, and FI classifications with auditable records.
