Job summary

Gap Technical Ltd. is seeking a Testing Technician near Deeside to carry out FAT testing on cables and heater systems and to conduct routine electrical tests on mineral-insulated cable systems.

The role requires 5+ years in QA/QC with electrical test equipment, strong problem-solving and report-writing skills, and the ability to work independently within a team. Monday–Friday daytime shifts in a manufacturing environment. Closing date provided in the job ad.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of QA/QC experience with electrical systems and test equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
• Excellent reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute FAT testing on cables and heater systems to verify performance and quality.
• Perform routine electrical testing on mineral-insulated cables.
• Prepare samples and perform medium voltage terminations for testing.
• Conduct tensile and hardness testing as part of QA/QC processes.
• Support R&D initiatives to improve cable performance.
• Maintain inventory of testing materials and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
