Job summary

Gap Technical Ltd is recruiting a Testing Technician to join their manufacturing facility near Deeside. You will execute FAT on cables and heater systems and perform routine electrical testing to verify quality standards.

You'll prepare cable samples, perform MV terminations, and conduct tensile and hardness testing as part of QA/QC processes, while maintaining thorough records and supporting R&D initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

• QA/QC experience with electrical systems
• Troubleshooting abilities in complex electrical environments
• Clear reporting and documentation skills
• Good communication within teams and with stakeholders
• Solid understanding of electrical safety standards in manufacturing
• Proficiency in MS Office for record-keeping

Responsibilities

• Execute FAT on cables and heater systems to verify performance and quality standards
• Perform routine electrical testing on mineral-insulated cable systems
• Prepare cable samples and perform MV terminations for testing
• Conduct tensile and hardness testing as part of QA/QC processes
• Support R&D initiatives to improve cable performance
• Maintain inventory of testing materials and equipment
• Maintain records of test procedures, calibrations and maintenance
• Provide general production support as needed
