Job summary

Thames Water in Chieveley is seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to inspect, maintain and repair mechanical and electrical systems at the site. The role involves fault finding, installation of new equipment, and ensuring safe operations with minimal supervision.

Based at Chieveley STW, you will work 38 hours per week (Mon-Fri) with standby and overtime opportunities. Benefits include a generous pension, holiday allowance and staff development programs.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with strong electrical/mechanical experience.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering preferred.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations preferred; training available.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Respond to alarms, fault-diagnose, repair or escalate as needed.
• Record work and assist with plant improvements and safety compliance.
• Provide technical advice and support apprentices and staff.
