Job summary

Thames Water is hiring an Electrical Technician for the Camberley Sewage Pumping Stations team. You will inspect, maintain, fault diagnose and repair electrical plant and equipment across sites, ensuring continuous operation for customers.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering, 18th Edition preferred, and a full UK driving licence. You’ll work under supervision with standby/on-call potential and earn up to £42,000 plus overtime and pension

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems or NVQ/C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering.
• 18th Edition preferred but training can be given.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and take initiative.
• Excellent communicator with internal and external staff and contractors.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms and fault finding; fix or escalate.
• Install new plant and equipment in line with current standards and regulations.
• Record work and asset information to improve performance and identify risks.
• Provide specialist technical advice and coach staff, including apprentices.
• Deliver excellent customer experience with professional and respectful communication.
