Job summary

CBRE, Inc. in Kendal is seeking an Electrical Technician to support the Technical Supervisor and Area Operations Manager with reactive and planned maintenance of building services.

You will perform fault finding and repair on LV electrical systems, ensure compliance with BS7671 and assist in hand-overs and small works projects. Role involves liaising with CSC/AFM, completing risk assessments, and delivering reports.

Qualifications

• Must hold City and Guilds Level 3 in electrical installations BS 7671.
• Must hold City and Guilds 2382 Level 3 certificate in BS 7671 or equivalent.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent formal training in electrical installation and maintenance.
• Desirable: Level 3 NVQ diploma in Electrical Installation or Maintenance; AM2; PAT testing; HV training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain LV electrical distribution and connected power/lighting systems; undertake PPM routines.
• Maintain equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures connected to electrical systems.
• Delivery of small works projects with AFM and Projects/Construction team.
• Ensure repairs/installations comply with BS7671 wiring regulations.
• Assist in project hand-over and snagging of new installations.
• Undertake fault finding and repair on LV AC/DC control systems.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and maintained; meet regulations.
• Produce reports for the AFM; maintain stock levels of spares.
