Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Gainsborough is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a heavy industrial, high-volume manufacturing site. The role focuses on electrical maintenance, fault-finding and improvements to maximise plant availability on a days-based schedule.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, read electrical drawings, support shift engineers with complex faults and contribute to installations and projects across the site.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance experience in an industrial environment.
• Reading electrical drawings, manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Hardware and PLC fault-finding to maximise uptime.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Gainsborough

Salary: Up to £46,000

Shift: Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:00pm

Job Role

An exciting opportunity has opened for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a heavy industrial, high-volume manufacturing site. This is a days-based position focused on maximising plant availability through electrical maintenance, controls fault-finding and improvement work. You will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, support the shift engineering teams with complex faults and complete electrical installations, upgrades and projects across the site.

Non‑Negotiable Requirements

• Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification.
• Electrical maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with three-phase systems, drives and electrical control circuits.

Requirements

• Carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across plant equipment.
• Hardware and PLC fault-finding to maximise equipment uptime.
• Reading electrical drawings, technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Completing electrical installations, upgrades and improvement projects.

Desirable Requirements

• PLC fault-finding or programming experience.
• Experience with Siemens, Allen‑Bradley, Mitsubishi or Pilz control systems.
• HNC in Electrical Engineering.
• SAP CMMS experience.
• MEWP or confined‑space training.
